Data Lineage
Visualize and understand data relationships and dependencies across tables within your data ecosystem.
Viewing Data Lineage
- Navigate to the Knowledge Catalog section.
- Select the Lineage tab to access the Data Lineage view.
Understanding the Lineage View
The Data Lineage view provides a visual representation of data connections and relationships:
- Tables are represented as individual nodes in the visualization
- Connecting lines between nodes indicate data flow relationships
- Source tables show data origins
- Downstream tables display data destinations
Interactive Features
When a specific table is selected in the Lineage view, the system highlights its direct relationships with other connected tables. This feature enables users to:
- Identify which tables serve as data sources
- Determine which tables consume or depend on the selected data
- Trace data movement and dependencies throughout the system
